Boonville’s first-ever Sound-Off: Marching Band Battle is where the energy, precision, and power of parade bands get their moment in the spotlight. After marching in the Woodsmen Field Days Parade, competing bands will assemble and battle it out in an electrifying showdown to see who can bring the best sound, coordination, and crowd engagement.
Whether your band thrives on tight formations, bold brass sections, or thrilling drumline performances, this is your chance to showcase your talent beyond the parade route and earn the title of Boonville’s first Sound-Off Champions!

If your band is marching in the parade, you’re already eligible to compete!
Since all parade bands are automatically eligible, directors simply need to confirm participation for the Sound-Off battle.

Each band will have a set time to perform two pieces of their choice. Marching formations and creative showcases are encouraged!
Yes! As long as it aligns with traditional marching band standards, visual elements and creative formations are encouraged.
Nope—it’s free to compete! Bands already marching in the parade are automatically eligible.
If the Woodsmen Field Days Parade is postponed due to weather, The Boonville Sound-Off will be rescheduled to the new parade date and time, if applicable. Updates will be communicated as soon as possible.
Yes! We’ll have a special highlight for the Best Drumline Performance, so be sure to bring the energy!
